Guava, known as amrood in Hindi, has been exalted as a super-food providing numerous benefits for healthy skin, body and hair. This is variety of Pink guava is oval shaped with sweet juicy pulp when ripe. These are grown completely without chemicals from the farms of Mahesh Poman.
Interesting fact : India is the world's largest producer of guavas. Guavas are cultivated in many tropical and subtropical countries, in Europe, Spain and Greece has been growing gauva's from mid 20th century
About Mahesh Poman:
Mahesh Poman has been practicing cow based farming in his 4 acres of land in Sasawad Near Pune. He is growing guava and Figs without any use of chemicals. For soil nourishment he has been using cow dung and goat droppings. For pest control he is using neem oil, sour buttermilk sprays.
Fruits delivered will be raw to semi ripe stage. On ripening fruit turns soft, you can check by gently pressing the fruit. Its recommended to consume figs immediately on ripening.
