are here! It is also called Aloo Bukhara, and this dark red or black, sweet, juicy and succulent fruit is cherished by everyone. Plums may have been one of the first fruits domesticated by humans.
Plums are loaded with minerals and is a great source of potassium. It is also rich in antioxidants, protecting the body against cell-damaging free radicals. Plums are also low in calories and hence will not increase your blood sugar levels.
These plum are grown by small marginal farmers belonging to the HIMGANIC FPO - which is an initiative set up by Singh apple orchards in 2014, with the objective of training & hand - holding local farmers in natural/organic farming and assisting them in marketing their produce.
About Singh Apple Orchard:
Singh Apple Orchard was established in 1969 and in their own words - believes in “doing it right when no one is looking”. The orchard has been visited by several luminaries including Padmashri Subhash Palekar and Joginder and his team have been playing an instrumental role in spreading organic farming practices in the region.
Fruits delivered will be in semi-ripe to ripe stage. The soft and juicy fruit is ideal for consumption although some may prefer to have it in its crunchy semi-ripe stage. You can refrigerate for 1-2 days on ripening.
