Imam Pasand or Himayat or Himam Pasand or Himayuddin or Humayun Pasand or Himma pasand is a lesser known and exclusive mango cultivar, grown in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu in India. The names suggest regal origins and it is said to have been the fruit of choice for India's royalty. It is prized by connoisseurs for its unique taste and it has been considered as the 'King of Mangoes' by many - (sorry Alphonso fans :D) . They are rich in terms of sweetness and the aftertaste is unique with hints of coconut and lime. We bring to you Himayats grown naturally in the farms of Geeta Maha.
About Geeta Maha:
Without any background in agriculture, Geeta Maha and her family ventured into conventional farming in 2005. They started with 35 acres of land near Zaheerabad. After some learnings as as a newbie farmer, they switched to horticulture crops and adopted natural farming. They have been following natural farming techniques in their land since then. Apart from selling products from their own farm they also help marginal farmers from the ZBNF community to sell their produce to end consumers
Fruits delivered will be in raw to semi ripe stage. To hasten the ripening you can wrap them in a paper bag and keep. It will turn soft and slight yellowish when ripe. You can press gently to judge ripeness. Weight may vary between 1.8 - 2.1 kg owing to likely water loss based on your delivery date.
