Ragi Dosa Mix - Certified Organic - 400 GM
Staples
Ragi dosa mix is a convenient and versatile product made from ragi flour, which is also known as finger millet flour. Ragi is a nutritious whole grain that is gluten-free and rich in fiber, protein, vitamins, and minerals. Ragi dosa mix typically contains a blend of ragi flour along with other ingredients such as rice flour, urad dal (black gram), and sometimes spices or seasoning.
Here's how to use ragi dosa mix to make dosas:
Preparation: In a mixing bowl, take the desired quantity of ragi dosa mix.
Add Water: Gradually add water to the mix while stirring continuously to form a smooth batter. The consistency of the batter should be similar to that of regular dosa batter - not too thick nor too thin.
Fermentation (Optional): You can let the batter ferment for a few hours or overnight, similar to traditional dosa batter preparation. Fermentation enhances the flavor and texture of the dosas and also improves the nutritional profile by increasing the bioavailability of nutrients.
Cooking : Heat a non-stick dosa tawa (griddle) or skillet over medium heat. Once hot, pour a ladleful of the ragi dosa batter onto the center of the tawa and spread it in a circular motion to form a thin layer.
Drizzle Oil: Drizzle a little oil or ghee (clarified butter) around the edges of the dosa and in the center. This will help crisp up the dosa and prevent it from sticking to the pan.
Cook Until Golden: Cook the dosa on medium heat until the edges start to brown, and the surface appears cooked. Flip the dosa using a spatula and cook the other side for a minute or until golden brown.
Serve : Once cooked, transfer the ragi dosa to a plate and serve hot with your favorite chutney, sambar, or curry.
Ragi dosa mix offers the convenience of preparing dosas quickly without the need for soaking and grinding the ingredients. Additionally, it provides the nutritional benefits of ragi, making it a healthy choice for breakfast or any meal of the day. It's a great option for those looking to incorporate more whole grains into their diet or for individuals following a gluten-free lifestyle.
