Malnad Gidda or Malenadu Gidda (Kannada:ಮಲೆನಾಡು ಗಿಡ್ಡ) is a dwarf breed of cattle native to the hilly, rainy and densely forested Malenadu region of the Western Ghats in the state of Karnataka in India.
They are of short stature and known for their adaptability, disease resistance. The milk and urine is considered to be of high medicinal value. The cattle can be sustained solely on grazing the forests and rural terrains. They are found to be of black to brown complexions. Under the low input low output system, many of these cows need very little inputs since they are free grazing, and also give just 3-4 litres of milk per day.

This ghee is made from milk of the desi Malenadu Gidda and is churned using the Bilona method.

About Deepak Javagal
In his own words - I am a natural farmer from Sirsi (Uttara Kannada district). We have built a farmers' co-operative in our village, so that we can sell our quality produce to customers at a reasonable price, such that both customers and farmers can benefit from it. We have young and enthusiastic farmers in our village who are willing to adopt new farming techniques to adopt natural farming (0% chemical, 100% natural ).
