Karpuravalli banana is a variety of banana commonly grown in South India. It is also known as the "Camphor banana" or "Karpooravalli Pazham" in Tamil.
Size and Appearance: Karpuravalli bananas are typically smaller in size compared to the common Cavendish bananas found in many supermarkets. They are often plump and have a distinct curve.
Taste : These bananas are known for their unique flavor, which is often described as sweet with a hint of camphor or mint, giving them their name "Karpuravalli" (meaning camphor in Tamil).
About Farm : We are practicing organic farming on our farms in Ananya , Mysore & Sri Sri Dhama @ Bangalore.
Basically we are cultivating Turmeric, bananas, avocados & few other fruits like jackfruit, passion fruit, pomelo, jamun, chikkus, Guavas, rose apples, waterapples & few other exotic fruits.
In our farm we have avoided tilling & kept to a minimum to only plant turmeric fingers. Otherwise we only mulch the weeds, which are playing a vital role in enriching the micro organisms & there by fertility of the soil. We don't apply any kinds of manures. We have inculcated the soil once by the Jeevamrutham .
