The Nucellar variety of sweet lime is great for juicing because it has less seeds. The variety is not sour as the common Anantapur variety and has a thicker skin which gives it a longer shelf-life. It also has one of the highest amount of vitamin C among sweet limes.
Thirst-quenching power of the humble Mosambi has made it one of those uniquely Indian fruits that, while perhaps not originating in the country, has a large fan base. the fruit tastes as it sounds - sweet but retaining essence of a lime but without the mouth puckering qualities.
As per Ayurveda, Mosambi is used to aid in ailments of the nervous system, digestive system and helps in nausea. Mosambi juice has beneficial properties if taken regularly and is commonly prescribed to patients by doctors.
