Ramphal is another member of Annona family. It’s also called as Bullock’s heart. It has a creamy yet granular texture and tastes mildly sweet. They have less amount of seeds as compared to custard apples.
It has lots of important minerals and properties which lower glucose levels. It is said that ramphal has anti-cancer properties as well. It can also be helpful in treating acne, frizzy hair and weak joints. Loaded with nutrients and Vitamin C, it helps in fighting harmful free radicals in the body.

Apart from the great taste, it has many medicinal and therapeutic benefits (like all native, forgotten fruits) -
1. Great for diabetics - with its minerals and blood glucose lowering properties, just the right fruit for pre-diabetes and diabetes. Also has anti-cancer properties.
2. For better immunity - if you fall sick during this season change, Ramphal is what you should have. It’s Vit A will boost the immunity and its B vitamins will help cut down the inflammation.
3. For frizzy hair, acne marks and weak joints - allow the ramphal and its nutrients, especially its free radical fighting Vit C, to help you.

About the Panchavati Farm:
We have a 4 acre organic farm , Panchavati, just beyond hessaraghatta, mostly small numbers of different types of fruit trees. Among them are 10 avacado trees which have been fruiting for about 9-10 years now Avacados are individually hand plucked, not allowed to fall from the tree or touch the soil after plucking (soil micro organisms enter the freshly cut stem and spoil the fruit ). We take this kind of care while plucking any that inadvertently fall are separated and not sold. The fruit is then kept warm in layers of cloth for 3-4 days to identify any that soften or spoilage. After this I personally sort and pack each kg. Each packet is also graded to give you a mix from different trees and different hardness so they ripen over time. My customers wait for our harvest each year, and have often shared that Panchavati avocados are the creamiest they have had.
