The 'Mallika' mango is the result of cross breeding of the Indian mango varieties Neelam and Dasheri. The variety was introduced by Dr. Anand Singh. It has a pleasant and rich flavour, which tastes sweet with mild tartness. These are also very good for making juices and shakes because the pulp is super juicy.
We bring to you these mangoes from the farms of the highly regarded Jagadeesh Reddy in Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh. He has been following natural farming methods in 40 acres of land. He is also working with other group of farmers in the region promoting natural farming practices. You can see Jagadeesh speaking about his Bainganpally mangoes in this short video . Fruits delivered will be in raw to semi ripe stage. To hasten the ripening you can wrap them in a paper bag and keep. It will turn soft and slight yellowish when ripe. You can press gently to judge ripeness.
