Organic jackfruit is pulped and sun-dried in natural sunlight. The dried sheet of jackfruit is cut and rolled. It can be consumed as it is like a candy bar.
Chakka pazham thira/Jackfruit bar can be cut into small pieces and mix with grated coconut. Rest this mixture for half an hour to 1 hour to make it soft. This is very tasty and can be consumed as a 4o'clock snack.
These are home made by Mr.Joseph Maprakavil in Mampoil village, Kannur District, Kerala. He has been practicing organic farming in his 20 acres of land which shares its boundary with the forests in Coorg district. His farm is group certified under INDOCERT organic certification.
You can store these in dry air tight container up to 3 months.
