sweet and fragrant variety of mango grown in North India, the southern state Andhra Pradesh, Nepal and Pakistan. Dasheri from Uttar Pradesh are some of the most famous mango varieties in India
The Dasheri mango is grown in Lucknow and Mallihabad in Uttar Pradesh. The name Dasheri comes from the Dasheri village near Kakori, UP where the 200-year-old Dasheri mother plant still exists and bears fruit every alternate year.
About the farmer:
This orchard is situated in Chandyana village in Siana tehsil of Bulandshahr district in Uttar Pradesh. It is 130 km from Delhi.
It is 40 years old and spread over 8 acres and has around 200+ trees of Dusheri, Langda, Chausa, Tukmi.
Ammar khan has been doing natural farming since the last 5 years. Though no chemical usage has been their philosophy since more than 12 years. He maintains the farm on their own and have not given the orchard on lease unlike other farmers. Ammar is experienced in Natural farming , using various natural & permaculture techniques, and making a sustainable farm, where we grow Soil and it helps us with getting us fruits and vegetables
