is a premium hybrid mango variety cherished for its rich sweetness, low fiber content, and aromatic flavor. Developed through a cross between two esteemed Indian varieties –
Neelum
and
Dasheri
– Mallika combines the best traits of both, making it a standout among late-season mangoes. Its name, meaning "queen" in Sanskrit, is well-suited to its regal taste and impressive appearance.
Mallika mangoes are medium to large in size, typically weighing between 250–500 grams. They have a distinct elongated, oblong shape with a gentle curve and pointed end. When ripe, the skin turns a bright golden-yellow to saffron-orange with occasional greenish undertones. The flesh is deep orange, smooth, and buttery, with almost no fibrousness, making it ideal for fresh eating, juices, and desserts.
Renowned for its intense sweetness, the Mallika mango offers a complex flavor with hints of citrus, melon, and honey, followed by a pleasant tanginess.
