Shambhala Bollachettira
Mallika Mango - Organically Grown - 3 Kg
Fruits
The 'Mallika' mango is the result of cross breeding of the Indian mango varieties Neelam and Dasheri. The variety was introduced by Dr. Anand Singh. It has a pleasant and rich flavour, which tastes sweet with mild tartness. These are also very good for making juices and shakes because the pulp is super juicy. The Mallikas we bring to you are grown at the beautiful Shambhala Bollachettira urban farm. Dhyan, the farmer, swears by his Mallikas and says they will give Alphonsos tough competition ( we don't know - they aren't ripe yet, so we haven't tasted them so far !)

They grow Sapota, Custard Apple, Mango and Litchi. Shambhala means place of peace and tranquility and Bollachettira is the family name of the farmer.
You can see farmer Dhyan talking about the farm in this short video .
Mangoes will be at varying stages of ripening based on your delivery date. Fruits will be in raw to semi-ripe stage. You can wrap them in a paper bag along with bananas to hasten ripening. It is recommended to check periodically and gently for ripening as different fruits will ripen at different times as they are allowed to ripen naturally without any chemical ripening agents. As the mangoes ripen, you will notice a decrease in weight due to water loss.
