This variety is named after the Nizam Nawab Azam Ali khan who developed it in Hyderabad. Queen Victoria selected this variety over the different varieties presented to her from the Nizam’s farm and it was a custom to send it to her every year.
It's a nearly extinct breed of mangoes which is very rare to find in the market. This thin skinned juicy mango can fill the room with a sweet lingering aroma!!
We bring these mangoes in partnership with AR4. AR4 mangoes need no introduction with a loyal customer base spread across the globe! AR4 Organic Mango Farms, is a first generation organic farm that started in 2008. One farm is 68 KM from Hyderabad near Yadadri, and second farm is 57 kilometers from Hyderabad near Chevella in Telangana, India. AR4 is a family farm & refers to the first letters of the names of the complete family who actively participate in all the activities of farm & store. The show however is mainly run by Arifa Rafee the lady farmer/entrepreneur. The method of farming followed primarily at the farms is Bio-dynamic farming. Please note that their organic certificate has expired and they have not renewed it yet.
