Sweet shells shells known as Gavvalu is one of the typical Indian sweets made in Andhra Pradesh, India. It is a mixture (dough) emmer wheat flour, chiroti rava and water. The prepared dough is shaped into small rounds, which are flattened and rolled into the thumb so as to take the shape of gavvalu (cowrie shells). These shells are fried and are poured into jaggery syrup.

About Athula Nirmiti:
Mr.Prabhu was always inclined towards farming so he got into this field in the year 2005 and took a small step towards organic farming. Athula Gutta joined in this journey around 2011. They have been growing paddy, sugarcane,raw banana, yam but the main crop has been turmeric for ages. The IISR Pragathi variety's research was conducted at their farm, after successful cultivation it was later introduced to markets as high yielding and short duration variety. With every year passing by they are adding different varieties of crops to their farming portfolio right from Kalabati black rice to different varieties of fruits. At their farms they are using cow based inputs like jeevamrut, cow urine etc.

They have got many awards for organic farming. Notable is Best Organic Farmer award they got in 2017 from Andhra Pradesh government.
