The jaggery powder and block to store immediately in air tight plastic container and store in dry place , never store them in metal containers and cold place
Sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium hydrosulphite and phosphoric acid are some of the chemical clarificants that you would be consuming when you eat commercially available jaggery. This rampant use of chemicals is one of the reasons traders in Gujarat are against buying jaggery manufactured in Karnataka’s Mandya district.
