Byadgi is a popular red chilly grown in Byadgi,Haveri, Karnataka. It is similar to Kashmiri red chilli. Has wrinkled texture, deep red hue, less spicy than other varieties , but imparts a good red colour to your dishes or condiments prepared with it.
To prepare this red chilly powder they are sundried first. Then the stems are removed & then powdered, unlike those which you find in the market where usually the chilly is powdered along with the stem.
Storage instruction: Please remove from the pack & store in air tight container

Lakshmi is a home based seller trying to connect farmers growing organic items with consumers, so that the latter is benefitted by authentic organic, non-adulterated items and farmers are benefitted by getting a good reach. Though she is a post graduate in Engineering and worked in software field for several years including her own software company. The lockdown due to the pandemic gave her a new lease of life. The residents were able to easily get access &buy the items brought by the farmers/vendors, even though the markets were closed. This gave her immense satisfaction and so she has taken this opportunity to continue her endeavor to connect farmers to consumers. She also promotes the Indian variety of saffron, walnuts and almonds from Kashmir.
