The kumquat is a citrus fruit that kind of looks like an orange but is oval-shaped and much smaller. Its botanical name is Citrus japonica is a small plant/shrub, supposed to be a native of China.
The specialty of the fruit is that it's always eaten with the skin. Tastes somewhat like an orange - a little sweet and little sour.
Has a very nice flavour and goes well in cocktails and mocktails, as well as in salads.
About Farm: Somanavana Plantations came to existence from a craving to provide to the large multitude of people who love tropical produce . We are nestled in the hills of Chikmagalur in the Western Ghats and Mangalore plains .
We grow an assortment of tropical produce mainly Mangosteen, Coffee , Rambutan , Pitaya, Dragon Fruit, Passion Fruit and many more luscious produce .
We have partnered with FARMIZEN to allow us to reach our produce to those who care for transperancy and traceability.
