Pearl millet (Cenchrus americanus, commonly known as the synonym Pennisetum glaucum) is the most widely grown type of millet. It has been grown in Africa and the Indian subcontinent since prehistoric times. The center of diversity, and suggested area of domestication, for the crop is in the Sahel zone of West Africa.
About Mridgandha Farm:
I (Mrs. Priya Bendrey) was born and brought up on a farm near Pune Maharashtra, in a farmers family. I finished my Masters in Law and pursued my hobby_ Arts/ Paintings as a career. The journey to farming was a bit natural and obvious one for me. I started farming 4,5 years back incorporating natural ways. It was in a very small scale then and soil has welcomed and accepted me now. I am growing vegetables, grains and pulses supplying my produce directly to customers.
The soil has become my soul now!!
