. It is one of the yellow dal. Toor dal is an ancient crop, believed to be cultivated for food since last 3000 years. Taste and aroma of Tur Dal from Geeta Maha's Farm actually sets it apart. Though looks not so good because
100 percent skin removal does not happen in hand pounding. It's unpolished.
About Geeta Maha:
Without any background in agriculture, Geeta Maha and her family ventured into conventional farming in 2005. They started with 35 acres of land near Zaheerabad. After some learnings as as a newbie farmer, they switched to horticulture crops and adopted natural farming. They have been following natural farming techniques in their land since then. Apart from selling products from their own farm they also help marginal farmers from the ZBNF community to sell their produce to end consumers.
