The Geographical Indication(GI) tag of Waigaon Turmeric has awakened the globe to the benefits of Indian spices that have niche markets in the United States, Europe and so on. The crops are rain fed. But as the turmeric fingers start growing in the roots beneath the soil, they don't need to be watered. The harvest season starts from December end and lasts all the way to March.
