This ain’t your average brown bread trying to be polite. This is Shokupan — Japanese-style milk bread, made the SproutOG way. That means a soft, feathery crumb… but built on a base of 100% whole wheat that’s sprouted, sundried, and slow stone-milled for flavor, nutrition, and attitude.
We ferment the dough for 24 hours, enrich it with cultured butter and just the right amount of milk powder, and keep the crust light and the crumb airy. The result? A sliceable dream that works for toasties, PB&J, or a classy midnight snack you definitely won’t regret in the morning.
Process Peek:
- Sprouted, sundried, low-RPM stone-milled whole wheat flour (lightly sieved)
- 24-hour biga fermentation
- Cultured full-cream butter, ACV, skimmed milk powder
- Hand-made, proofed, and baked golden
