Dried apricots contain a strong sweet-sour flavour and are high in fiber. They are also rich in calcium, vitamin C, vitamin B complex, riboflavin, vitamin A and Niacin.
We bring to you these apricots cultivated by Fayaz Ahmed in his farm in Anantnag. Fayaz grows Almonds, Walnuts, Apricots, Cherry and a small number of Apples in the small patches of lands he owns without use of any chemicals or pesticides.
These are sun dried. Since these are not treated with sulphur bleach like commercial dried apricots, they might not look as vibrant or brightly coloured as the ones usually available in the market. You can store them in dry air tight container for 6 months.
