Vegetables
Black turmeric is a species of turmeric that is native to northeastern India and some other parts of Southeast Asia. It is also known by various other names, including Kali haldi, Black zedoary, and Black turmeric root. Unlike the more common yellow turmeric (Curcuma longa), black turmeric is less well-known and less commonly used in cooking. However, it has been traditionally used for its medicinal properties and is considered an important herb in traditional Indian medicine systems like Ayurveda.
Black turmeric has been used in traditional medicine for its potential health benefits. It is believed to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial properties. It has been used to treat various ailments, including digestive issues, respiratory problems, and skin conditions.
