Back in the late '90s, Bengaluru was having a bit of a sweet identity crisis, and the khova naan emerged as a worthy rival to the famous Dilpasand.
Fast forward to today, and at the SproutOG wholegrain bakery, we’ve taken this beloved treat and given it the classic healthy upgrade – because, of course, we did!
We’ve sweetened the stuffing ever so lightly with our own organic pineapple preserve (just pineapples, mishri, and a touch of lemon), and packed it full of rich cashews and raisins. And of course, it’s all tucked into a crumbly, buttery whole-wheat crust – because why settle for maida and dalda when you can have pie-level amazing?
Just pop it in the oven to warm it up, and you’ll be dealing with a sweet, molten, irresistible filling that’ll have you coming back for more. Seriously, it’s that good.
Shelf life: 5 days refrigerated
Ingredients: Whole wheat blend (sharbati 90%, Emmer 10%), Butter, Khova, Pineapple Jam (Pineapple, Mishri, Lemon), Cashewnuts, Raisins, Jaggery, Pink Salt.
