About Farmer:

My name is Keerthi. I have been practicing organic farming for about 10 years now. I am also an artist and was living in an urban area with a family of 4. After our children moved out, we decided to move to our native place to spend time on our farms. So, we made the big move from Hyderabad to a remote place called Konapuram in the Ananthapur district. We established our farm here using various scientific techniques to overcome obstacles in regular farming methods.

My journey to natural farming began with my love for plants. I planted trees wherever I was, whenever I could. It's not just love towards plants or nature; I always knew that our lives and the quality of our lives depend on trees. I was also inspired by Sadhguru, also known as Jaggi Vasudev, the founder of the Isha Yoga Center. I was initiated into Shambhavi through the 7-day Inner Engineering program, and he soon became my Guru.

Later, I also participated in "Cauvery Calling," in which I rallied for awareness about our drying rivers and planting trees to revive our water bodies, as they are the source of our lives. Sadhguru also started a global movement called Save Soil. He rallied by driving through countries to bring awareness about the condition of our soils, which touched my heart. He dedicated his life to 'Save Soil' to save our next generations. I learned that 1 acre of soil is going extinct every minute. I also took part in this movement by rallying for it and taking classes to learn how to preserve farming soil using natural products. The Isha Foundation taught us many ways to naturally enrich the soil to boost plants' ability to produce more fruit without using fertilizers.

I also followed Subhash Palekar's methods, which helped me avoid all insecticides, pesticides, and fertilizers, and much more. These are all the people who inspired me to start natural farming, and now I am able to produce mangoes that are truly nutritious. My wish is to be a part of healthy living for many people. I forget all the pain and hardship and feel fulfilled when I see mangoes in my farm every year. But I don't know how to find the right buyers, and I am facing extortion by brokers while trying to bring mangoes to the market. In the last few years, we ended up breaking even or losing money on tons of good organic mangoes. We were just happy that at least someone might have eaten our produce and hoped for a better situation every year. With my daughter's help, I came across Farmizen.

I thank Farmizen for creating a platform where farmers and buyers can reach each other. This motivates farmers to continue practicing natural farming and getting recognized for their hard work. I am also working on turning my farm into a 3-layered forest farm to help it sustain itself. I learned that forest farms help attract more rain to our area, which may help our neighboring farms and may inspire them to adopt organic farming and forest farms. I hope selling mangoes on the Farmizen platform will help me keep farming till I reach my goal.

As you might have already guessed, mango farms are our focus and specialty.
