This Kalipatti Sapota is the leading variety of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Northern Karnataka. Fruits are sometimes oval shaped and sometimes round as well, less seeded with a sweet mellow flesh of excellent quality and mild flavour.
Sapotas help in burning fat deposits and fighting certain types of cancer. They are also very beneficial for your hair, eyes and bones.
Interesting fact : Chicle is the gummy latex obtained from the Sapota tree, for a long time this natural gum was traditionally used in making chewing gum !! The Chiclets name is derived from chicle.
About Hampi Organic:
It was started in 2010 and has been following organic practices since. Mr Seshu is a software professional and a part time organic farmer. He grows Sapota with high sweetness (TSS), Bangenapalli Mango and Bananas at his farm.
