Nutmeg Fruit Murabba - Homemade - 210 gm

An 'all purpose delicacy' is what one can call this murrabba. An appealingly tangy'n' tasty spicy concoction which is sure to tickle your taste buds. Everybody knows the use of nutmeg, but very few realise the innumerable uses of its peel. This murrabba is a flavourful combination of grated nutmeg peel, gooseberry (amla), lemon juice, pepper, jaggery and black salt. It is a lovely accompaniment to bread, chapati and poori. At the same time, it's a superb digestive and is a delight to be had after meals. It's also your perfect companion on a long trip ( as it keeps motion sickness and nausea at bay)
Have a go at it whenever your heart tells you!!
Storage: Refigerate always. Use a dry spoon.
About Chempotty Estate:
Mr Thankachan Chempotty is the proud owner of Chempotty Estate which is a 22- acre certified organic farm ( by Indocert) located about 50 Kms from Mysore in the village of Hura. It is surrounded by forests and water bodies like Kabini River and in close proximity to Bandipur National Park. Though he works for an MNC in Bangalore, his passion for farming prompted him to buy this estate in 2005.
The Estate encompasses about 15,000 trees which include teak, neem, sandalwood, along with various fruit trees like coconut,mango, jackfruit, guava, sapota, gooseberry, mosambi, papaya to name a few. Mr Chempotty is an ardent follower of "spiritual farming" wherein nature is revered along with all its creatures.
The Estate practices 3 layer farming wherein maximum utilisation of land resources is done. Being an organic farm, only Jeevamrutham and Brahmasthram are used for pest control and better growth.
Storage: Store at cool and dry place away form direct sunlight. Shelf life upto 4 months. Do not refrigerate.
