Black Rice varieties have been traditionally consumed all across south east asia , from China to Philippines, encompassing rice growing regions such as Eastern India,Bangladesh, The Malaysian peninsula and Indonesia.
In China black rice was especially reserved for the emperor and hence earned its nickname of "forbidden black rice" as it was exclusively for the emperors consumption to ensure his health and long life.
A High energy, High fiber grain rich in iron, protien and anti oxidants,it has been traditionally used in porridge, desserts and sweet cakes.
Petrichor grows this high quality rice through the methods of organic farming by collaborating with our partner farmer in channapatna

The Good earth-Petrichor Agri Ventures is an initiative by GoodEarth, who have been pioneers in ecologically sensitive real estate developments since 30+ years, to address climate change, through sustainable, regenerative, agro-ecological farming practices.
