Did you know? Most commercial atta is processed in high-speed industrial mills running at 1400–3000 RPM. This high friction generates heat, which can destroy heat-sensitive nutrients like vitamins, enzymes, and essential fatty acids.
At VJ Organic Farms, we grind our Jowar Atta slowly on a 45 RPM stone grinder, which provides nutritious and fibrous atta (flour) to our customers. To maintain freshness and prevent contamination, we pack it in vacuum-sealed bags, ensuring longer shelf life.
Jowar (Sorghum) is an ancient grain and a staple in many Indian households, especially in rural and semi-urban areas. Naturally gluten-free and rich in fiber, protein, and essential micronutrients like iron, magnesium, and B vitamins, it’s an excellent alternative to wheat or rice.
Our atta is made from traditional Dagdi Jowar grown organically, this wholesome gluten-free flour is rich in fibre, protein, and essential minerals. Its mildly nutty flavour makes it a versatile choice for everyday cooking.
Uses:
Ideal for making soft, nutritious rotis (bhakris), it can also be used to make instant dosa (its called Dhirdi in Maharashtra), or baked goods like breads, muffins, and sweet or savoury cookies.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Once the vacuum pack is opened, consume within 15-20 days.
