Sharbati Whole Wheat Atta - Natural - 5 Kg

This atta made from Sharbati wheat is ideal for making rotis and phulkas. Sharbati wheat is grown in the Sehore and Vidisha regions of MP. Also known as the MP wheat, Sharbati atta is sweeter in taste and better in texture and absorbs more water. The grains of Sharbati wheat are bigger in size and has a golden sheen to it.
An interesting fact about Sharbati atta is that drought brings out the best quality in this wheat. The region growing Sharbati wheat, does not necessarily have an organized, large scale cultivation of this crop. Being rain water irrigated, the soil for Sharbati wheat is high in potash content and low in moisture. This amazingly ends up increasing the protein content of the wheat compared to regular wheat.
Mr. Paresh Nagar is a qualified engineer who also holds a management degree. He was working in Dubai for ten years before starting his own farm in Sonkatch village about 70 kms from Indore city in MP. Paresh started on his journey of natural farming in November 2016. He began by providing his family’s needs. He grows wheat, dhals (various lentils), corn, turmeric, various spices – chillies, mustard seeds (rai), cumin seeds (jeera), coriander seeds (dhania), groundnut and sunflower in his farm.
Paresh has three indigenous (Malwa breed) cows at his farm. Cow dung and cow urine form the primary inputs for creation of manure and pest control liquids used in their farms. His farming philosophy is a mixture of principles from various recognized disciplines such as Subhash Palekar’s SPNF, biodynamics, permaculture, minimum tilling, mix and multi layered cropping.
