This season we plan to list at least 20 varieties of mangos - hope you get to try all of them ! Here's a new one - Lalbahar.
Lalbahar is a local variety of mango with a tinge of red in the skin and juicy pulp. Grown by the renowned natural farmer Jagadeesh Reddy, this is just one of the many varieties of delicious mangoes in his repertoire.
He has been following natural farming methods in 40 acres of land. He also works with other farmer groups in the region to promote natural farming practices. Jagadeesh's exemplary efforts with natural farming have been covered by several media outlets - here is one such article from the Hindu .
Fruits delivered will be in raw to semi ripe stage. To hasten the ripening you can wrap them in a paper bag and keep them. It will turn soft and slight yellowish when ripe. You can press them gently to judge ripeness.
